  3. To install Midi Machine, simply run the SETUP.EXE file in/on the distribution media.

  5. You can uninstall this software by choosing "Add/Remove Programs" from the Control/Panel.

  11. Welcome to Midi Machine, your all-in-one solution for managing and playing CDs, graphics, movies, and sound in one simple interface.  Midi Machine V3.0 was written completely from scratch to give you more power, faster, and easier to use.

  13. Midi Machine plays the following files:

  15. .MID - Midi music files (and why not?  Midi Machine is named so because of its great midi playing ability.)
  16. .WAV - Wave files, sometimes called digital audio
  17. .AVI - Audio-Video interleave files, or mini-movies
  18. .BMP - Bitmap graphic files
  19. .WMF - Window metafiles, another type of graphic file
  20. .ICO - Windows icon pictures
  21. .TXT - Text files
  22. .RTF - Rich-Text Files
  23. .PCX - Another kind of graphic file
  24. .PNG - PNG graphic files, a new graphics standard that is taking the world by storm!  Gives good compression
  25. .JPG - Jpeg images giving you high graphics compression
  26. CD-Audio tracks.

  28. Midi Machine is so intuitive that you probably will never need to read the help.  But if you do, there's lots of it!  We provide:

  30. 1) Tooltips for toolbar buttons (see instantly what they do!)
  31. 2) Context-sensitve help using the standard WinHelp engine
  32. 3) Tips of the day that give advice on harnessing Midi Machine's power
  33. 4) Technical documents describing possible problems and solutions

  49. REQUIREMENTS:

  51. 4+ megs ram, 8+ meg recommended.
  52. 1+ meg hard drive space, plus more for holding multimedia files
  53. A soundcard for playing mid/wav files
  54. 256 colors.
  55. 800X600 resolution if using large fonts, or 640X480 resolution if using
  56.  small fonts.
  57. MCI sound drivers for playing mid/wav files
  58. MCI video drivers for playing movies

Midi Machine is currently in beta.  This means that we do not feel this program is ready for a full release.  As such, it MAY contain bugs or errors.  If you feel that you have experienced such a bug or error, please leave e-mail to "andrew.malek@idibbs.com", subject "Midi Machine Bug Report", with the description of the error that occurred and what caused the error.  Thanks!  Be sure to check the web page often for updates and news of when the official release occurs!

  76. You may not disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, or in any way tamper MIDIMACHINE.  Adding files to the zip archive that identify from where the file is downloaded/archived is allowed, but other modifications are prohibited without prior permission from Andrew Malek.
